Ah, after doing the other post about food and yummies, I think it is only logical to write about some cooking utensils, don't you agree? Although I have said many times that I can't cook but I can manage some stew or soup in a slow cooker. I guess there is nothing to it that I am able to chop up some carrots, celery, onions and put in a few pieces of chicken into a crock pot. I didn't even consider doing that as I am able to cooked!
Nevertheless, one pot cooking is a very convenient cum nutritious way of preparing a meal when we are short of time or needing an extra soup to compliment our meal. The juices from the meat and vegetables are all locked in the stew or soup that we are cooking. We can even cook a full meal of rice or noodles with all the nutrition goodies locked in. I know that a friend of mine had actually cooked lasagna in her slow cooker.
